Mechanism of action
After application, the active substances quickly penetrate through the leaves and move to the points of weed growth. The drug blocks the enzyme acetolactate synthase, which leads to disruption of the synthesis of amino acids (valine and isoleucine), proteins and nucleic acids. As a result, cell division and the growth of sensitive weeds stop already 3 hours after treatment.

The first signs of action, such as cessation of growth, chlorosis, necrosis, reddening or whitening of leaves, appear after 4-7 days.
Complete death of weeds occurs after 14-28 days.
Weakly sensitive or overgrown weeds may not die, but their development is significantly slowed down.
Optimum conditions (warmth and humidity) promote the effectiveness of the herbicide, while cool or dry weather can slow down its effect.
