Oatmeal is a perennial cereal, which is formed into an upland loose grass,
90-120 cm tall. It has a well-developed root system, some roots can penetrate
into the soil to a depth of 1.5 m. The grass is quite drought-resistant and can also withstand short-term flooding.
Oatmeal can be used as an ornamental plant, as lawn grass.
The plant has enormous value in the form of silage (2-3 slopes) and pasture (4-5 cycles) culture.
Meadow oats grow well after mowing. Animals eat hay and meadow sedge grass well.
The yield of hay is 50-70 c/ha. The feed value of 100 kg of hay corresponds to 50-55 feed units,
and contains 3-4 kg of digestible protein. You need to mow at the beginning of flowering.
