General information about the drug: Systemic post-emergence herbicideherbicide for the destruction of annual and perennial dicotyledonous weeds, including tenacious nightshade, thistles and chamomile in cropsgrains cultures.

The mechanism of action of the drug:

2-Ethylhexyl ether 2,4-D disrupts the biosynthesis of structural and enzymatic proteins, leading to a disturbance in the metabolism of the plant organism. It penetrates the plant through aerial parts (mainly through leaves) and actively moves along the plant, accumulating in young meristem tissues of leaves, stems and roots. Under the influence of accelerated growth of the tissues of the upper side of leaves, stems, and petioles, their bending downwards, thickening of conductive tissues, which is accompanied by an increase in turgor. As a result, the shoots and roots crack, the supply of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium to plants decreases, and the synthesizing activity of the root system stops. Water exchange is disrupted, turgor is lost, plants wither and die. Florasulam is an inhibitor of the enzyme acetolactate synthetase.
