Seeders of the SZM series are intended for row sowing of grain, legumes, industrial crops, as well as grasses, vegetables and grain mixes with minimal soil tillage technology.

When using resource-saving technologies, sowing of most grain crops is done after minimal tillage of the soil with disk plows. In order to obtain friendly and powerful seedlings, there is a need to choose a universal seeder, which, with the least labor costs for resetting the norms and depths of sowing, would be able to provide first-class sowing of a wide range of agricultural crops. Having studied the modern trends in the development of foreign seeding technology, Veles-Agro State Enterprise has developed a new series of SZM mechanical seeders, intended for row sowing of grain, herbs, vegetables, mixtures, legumes, technical and other crops using minimal soil tillage technology, with a coulter pressure of 80 to 120 kg and a seed rolling system.

The time-tested coil system of sowing seeds in planters of the SZM series has been improved with the use of the latest technologies for surface treatment of parts and the use of high-strength and wear-resistant components in their manufacture. Thanks to the combination of the screw method of adjusting the coils to the set seeding rate and switching the speed of rotation of the gearbox, the seeder can be set both for the micro-sowing rate from 6 kg/ha and the macro-sowing rate up to 400 kg/ha, and when equipped with a small seed hopper from 1 kg/ha to 40 kg/ha.

The "Nika-4" seeder has two capacious hoppers - 920 l for seeds and 350 l for fertilizer, which creates prerequisites for high productivity and lower costs for loading the seeder during sowing. Moreover, when dismantling the inter-bunker partition, the capacity of the grain bunker increases to 1280 liters.

For the formation of an ideal seed bed, a design of offset placement of the coulter discs is used, which also protects it from clogging with stones. At the same time, the first disk cuts through a straight sowing line, cuts the harvest residues, and the second loosens the soil and prepares the seed bed.

The set depth of seed sowing is achieved due to the mechanism of pressure springs, which, in addition to adjusting the depth, allow the coulter mechanism to copy the surface of the seeded area. The rolling wheel located behind the coulter-regulating wheel supports precise control of the depth of seed placement, ensures the contact of the seed material with the soil, which is necessary for optimal moisture inflow through the capillaries, uniform formation of the root system and germination.

For aggregating the planter with different types of tractors, a hinged or trailed version is provided, and the option of longitudinal transportation allows you to transport SZM planters on general purpose roads.
