Single-row potato planter for motor tractor is a continuation of the line of planters of our production. The main difference is the enlarged hopper, the effective volume of which is 60 liters. The KS10 potato planter can be aggregated both with factory motor tractors and with motor tractors based on the conversion kit of our production.

Design features

The metering unit is based on a system that has proven itself well in our previous chain drive developments. In it, baskets for potatoes are attached to a chain. The chain has 104 links, 13 baskets with a diameter of 50 mm are installed on it. The distance between the baskets is 8 links.

The hopper is made of sheet steel with a thickness of 1 mm. The frame at the base of the KS10 potato planter is made of a 40 × 40 × 4 mm corner. The collar for attaching the lanyard to the hopper is 5 mm thick, and the corresponding fastening plate is 8 mm thick. The lower base of the trailer is made of a steel strip 6 × 40 mm. The hitch is at a height of 380 mm (from the wheel rimwheel). The total height is 820 mm (on the rim) and 875 mm (on the spikes of the ground hook).

The diameter of the ground-hoe wheels is 318 mm, the rim thickness is 4 mm, and the width is 150 mm. The drive shaft has a diameter of 25 mm.

The coulter is made of sheet steel with a thickness of 2 mm.

It is possible to adjust the landing step in a row. 200 mm and 250 mm landing steps can be set.

Principle of operation

Revolutions from the wheels of the potato planter are transmitted to the shaft, on which the sprockets are installed, with the help of which the step of planting in a row is adjusted. The drive sprockets are connected to the sprocket of the upper shaft by a chain transmission, there is also a chain stabilizer. A pair of stars is also installed inside the mine - upper and lower, which are connected by a chain on which baskets for potatoes are installed.

With the help of a wedge-shaped opener, the potato planter cuts the bed. Stacked potatoes are covered with disk mounders.(//tractor-service.com)

The optimal working speed of the motor tractor is 5 km/h.
