Mechanism of action:
The drug inhibits protein synthesis in plant cells, resulting in inhibition of chlorophyll synthesis, followed by plant death. Otaman herbicide quickly and effectively penetrates through the leaves and other green parts of the plant and spreads through all organs to the root system thanks to the modern surface-active substance. Complete death occurs in 10-20 days, depending on weather conditions, species, stage of weed development and rate of consumption. First, yellowing of the plants is observed, then the leaves wither, the plant dies.

Properties:
The drug is characterized by a low level of foaming when preparing the working solution. This property is very relevant when using the drug by the method of low-volume spraying, especially during aerial application.

General recommendations

For best results, apply when weeds are in active growth under favorable weather conditions. The optimal phase of weed development for processing: perennial grasses - 4-5 leaves (10-15 cm), perennial dicotyledons - rosette 10-20 cm, annual grasses - at least 5 cm leaf length, annual dicotyledons - 2-3 real leaves. Apply in dry and windless weather, no later than 6 hours before rain. During spraying, do not allow the herbicide to get on the leaves of cultivated plants, trees and bushes. Do not use Otaman herbicide at an air temperature below +10 °C and above +25 °C. The herbicide can be mixed with other commonly used pesticides on appropriate crops. However, in each case, it is necessary to check the drugs for compatibility. To enhance the herbicidal effect on weeds that are less sensitive to glyphosate, in particular, perennial dicotyledons, tank mixtures are used: Otaman (3-4 l/ha) + Alpha-Dicamba (0.2 l/ha); Otaman (3-4 l/ha) + Alpha-Ether (0.3-0.4 l/ha).
