Advantages of the drug:
irreplaceable in the protection of sugar beets;
destroys more than 40 types of annual dicotyledonous weeds;
control of annual grass weeds;
high purity of crops.
Purpose:
three-component post-emergence herbicide against annual dicotyledonous and grass weeds in sugar beet crops.
Preparative form:
an emulsifiable concentrate in which the hydrophilic and lipophilic components of the formulation are perfectly combined.
The oil component of the drug Biceps® Garant ensures the creation of a film on the surface of the leaf plate of weeds, which has the maximum area due to the small marginal wetting angle. The complex of surface-active substances included in the formulation makes it possible to improve the distribution of the herbicide on the surface of the leaf, increase the degree of penetration of the active substances through the cuticular waxes, and thus increase the effectiveness of the drug.
A great advantage of the preparation form of Biceps® Garant is the long-term shelf life of the working solution (up to 24 hours) of the aqueous emulsion of the herbicide in a wide range of concentrations without crystallization, which ensures high manufacturability of applying the drug and the stability of the emulsion film on weed leaves.
Characteristics of active substances:
desmedifam and phenmedifam belong to bis-carbamates, etofumesate - to benzofuranylalkanesulfonates.
Range of action:
-highly sensitive to Biceps® Garant herbicide - schirytsia (species), veronica (species),
mustard field, mustard (species), dry rib (species), Sofia's curling iron, rutabaga, common starwort, common yellowwort, linden (species), quinoa (species), annual thin leg, black solanum, sorrel, common gill, tenacious nightshade, garden purslane,
radish wild, common spergel, field violet, talaban;
- moderately sensitive - blue cornflower, cochineal cochineal, stinging nettle, common ragweed, garden thistle, common wormwood, chicken millet, blood glove, mouse green, three-part series, field broom;
- less sensitive - Theophrastus' rope, creeping wheatgrass, field foxtail, chamomile (species), field thistle, hogweed.

Mechanism of action:
has a translaminar effect, penetrates through the leaves. Suppresses weeds in the early stages of their development, disrupting photosynthesis and protein exchange, slows down the growth of meristem tissues and cell division, limits the formation of a waxy layer.
Speed and symptoms of exposure:
the herbicidal effect is manifested within 4 - 8 days after application. At first, there is a lightening of the leaves, the discoloration gradually increases until the onset of chlorosis. Then the weeds gradually wither and dry up. Their complete death occurs after 2-3 weeks.
Recommendations for use:
treatment with Biceps® Garant should be carried out immediately after preparation of the working solution. The terms of application depend significantly on the presence and stage of development of weeds.
WARNING! It should be remembered that it is possible to increase the consumption rate of Biceps® Garant by more than 2 l/ha only if the beet reaches the stage of 4 true leaves and under conditions optimal for the development of the culture.
* Culture - Rate of consumption of the drug, l/ha - Method and terms of processing.
* Sugar beets
-3.0
-One-time spraying of crops in phase 4 of true leaves of the crop in the early phases of weed growth
-1.5
-Two-time spraying of crops in the phase of 2 - 4 weed leaves (after the first and second "waves" with an interval of 7 - 14 days)
-1.0
-Three-time spraying of crops in the weed cotyledon phase (in the first, second and third "waves" with an interval of 7 - 14 days)
Factors affecting the effectiveness of the drug:
the optimal air temperature for application is not lower than 5 and not higher than 25°C. The maximum herbicidal effect is achieved during treatment in the temperature range from 10 to 25°С. It is not recommended to spray beet crops weakened by frost, heat, diseases and pests, as well as plants with mechanical damage after cultivation. Crops should not be processed less than 6 hours before precipitation and in the presence of heavy dew.
It is very important to carry out spraying in the recommended terms, to prevent the growth of weeds that become more resistant to the drug.
Preparation of working solution:
pre-mix the drug in the factory packaging. Tank
the sprayer is filled half way with water, turn on the mixer, add the measured amount of the drug, continue filling the tank of the sprayer with water while mixing. Stirring is continued during processing to ensure homogeneity of the working solution.
Compatibility:
Biceps® Garant is compatible in tank mixtures with various herbicides that are added to extend the spectrum of action, for example, with Pilot®, Hacker®, Miura® and others.
Consumption of working fluid: 200 l/ha.
