The drive head consists of a housing, a casing, a drive drum, an electric motor, a coupling, a reducer or a gear motor.
The housing of the drive head is an all-welded construction. In the inner part there is a drive drum on support bearings, an adjustable spout from below, and outside there is a structure for fastening the drive.
The discharge neck is usually located on the back of the drive head (where the buckets perform unloading with the help of centrifugal force). The upper part of the discharge neck with a rigidly attached lining plate is placed in the casing, which serves to prevent damage
grains and reduce metal wear. The casing consists of two independent halves, which can be easily opened on hinges during routine work.
In the version with a gear drive, the rotation from the electric motor is transmitted to the high-speed gear shaft using a V-belt transmission. The rotation of the low-speed gearbox shaft is transmitted through the clutch to the drive drum shaft.

When using a motor-reducer as a drive, the motor-reducer is worn directly on the shaft of the drive drum.
The device for preventing the reverse movement of the tape is located on the shaft of the drive drum. When equipped with an engine with an electric brake, the reversing device is usually not supplied.
Structurally, an inductive (or sensor) sensor is placed on the housing, which stops the current supply to the engine if there is an overflow of the product in the discharge nozzle.
