Mechanism of action
The active substance diquat is quickly absorbed by the green parts of plants and turns into hydrogen peroxide, destroying the walls of cell membranes. This is
leads to the drying of all green parts of the plant on which the drug fell. Desiccation occurs only at the beginning of the photosynthesis process. But under the action of ultraviolet rays, hydrogen peroxide quickly decomposes, therefore, to ensure high efficiency, it is recommended to process Alpha-diquat on a cloudy day or in the evening. In this case, there is a deeper penetration of diquats into the plant, due to the postponement of cell destruction to the beginning of the photosynthesis process, and more uniform desiccation is ensured.

General recommendations
The drug is used on sunflower crops in the browning phase of the baskets. It is recommended to use only clean water. When applying, the working speed of the unit should be 7-10 km/h. The mandatory requirement is to ensure continuous coverage of the area and complete wetting of the plants when applying the drug. passes quickly, but less efficiently. It is not recommended to process in the morning. It is forbidden to carry out spraying at a wind speed of more than 3-4 m / s. Tank mixtures with other widely used pesticides on the corresponding crops are not recommended due to the mismatch of application periods. Alpha-diquat is compatible with urea or ammonium nitrate. However, in each specific case, it is necessary to conduct a trial mixing. Tank mixtures should be used immediately after preparation.
