Mechanism of action:

The drug is rapidly absorbed by living weed cells. The active substance turns into hydrogen peroxide, destroying plant cell membranes. In turn, this leads to the drying of the green parts of the plant, but under the influence of ultraviolet rays, hydrogen peroxide rapidly decomposes, so it is recommended to treat plants in the evening or in cloudy weather. The first signs of the active effect of the drug on plants can be seen the next day in the form of leaf discoloration, brown spots and necrosis on the 2nd - 3rd day. At the end of 7 - 12 days from the moment of introduction of the drug, the culture that is sprayed is ready for harvesting. The effectiveness of desiccation depends on the consumption of the drug, the cultivated crop, the density of the plants and the weather conditions during the application of the drug.

Characteristics of the active substance:

Diquat is a substance from the class of heterocyclic compounds, a group of pyridine derivatives. Diquat has a great ability to move through the xylem of the plant, affecting the photosynthetic system and destroying cell membranes and cytoplasm.

Greenfort DK 150 should be used rationally during the physiological maturity of seeds (seed moisture 30-50%, depending on the type of crop). The use of the drug in the earlier periods of crop development can cause a decrease in yield and a decrease in the sowing qualities of seeds.
