The backwash filter consists of a body with a built-in self-cleaning mechanism, a filtering element and a control unit with a microcontroller. Automatic self-cleaning is started by time (i.e. when the time set on the time relay elapses from the moment of the last regeneration) or by pressure drop (i.e. when a signal is sent from the pressure sensors that the set pressure difference has been reached at the filter inlet and outlet). The filter taps on the filtration line (input of source water and outlet of purified water) are automatically closed, taps on the washing line (input of washing water and outlet of sediment) are automatically opened. Thanks to the instant opening of the control valve on the drain pipe of the filter, a hydraulic shock is created on the mesh of the filter element, which increases the effect of backwashing. Simultaneously with backwashing, the gear drive installed on the top cover of the filter drives the filter element, which begins to rotate in the housing around the brushes. At the end of washing, the motor-reducer is automatically turned off, the filter element stops, the taps are automatically moved from the position for washing to the position for filtration.
