Purpose
Designed for installation on the suction system of pumping stations with a capacity of up to 450 m³/h. Allows water to be taken from open sources at a shallow depth, prevents silt and mechanical pollution, repels young fish and is capable of self-cleaning with water. It is a fish protection device, which has been confirmed by the State Fisheries Agency of Ukraine.

Design and principle of action

It is a rotating mesh drum with a block of check valves. The whole structure is fixed on three hermetic metal pontoons. The rotation of the drum is carried out due to the energy of water supplied through arubber hose from the pumping station to the nozzlewheel of the hydro turbine, which rotates the drum through a reducer and a pair of gears. Self-cleaning of the drum is carried out by jets of water from washing nozzles, which are supplied with water from a pumping station with a pressure of at least 3 bar. The design provides for adjustment of the depth of the drum depending on the depth of the reservoir.
