1. Biodiesel is the only alternative to traditional fuel. It can be used in all unmodified conventional diesel engines. At the same time, there are no differences in storage conditions with ordinary diesel fuel.
2. Biodiesel can be used both in its pure form and in combination with any amount of petroleum diesel fuel. Most often,fuel is diluted in the following proportion: 50% petroleumdiesel and 50% biodiesel.
3. When using biodiesel, carbon dioxide emissions are reduced by almost 80%, and sulfur dioxide emissions are reduced by 100%. In the process of burning biodiesel fuel, the amount of unburned hydrocarbons is reduced by more than 90 percent, and aromatic hydrocarbons are released by 75-90 percent less.
4. Biodiesel consists of 11 percent oxygen and contains no sulfur at all. This fuel is able to extend the life of diesel power units, as it has more effective lubricating characteristics compared to petroleum diesel fuel. This in no way harms other characteristics (torque, power, auto-ignition and consumption).
