The first thing that comes to mind when you think about this is, of course, whitewashing trees in the garden with quicklime. But here you should be careful and not use it too often. Usually, one application is enough for 7-8 years. It is important to regularly determine the acidity of the soil in the area so as not to start the process and not harm the cultivated plants. This can be done with the help of a pH meter, litmus strips and various folk methods, as well as by the presence of marker plants. For example, horsetail, yarrow, and plantain grow on highly acidic soils, nettles on weakly acidic soils, and clover on neutral and alkaline soils. Neutral soil has a pH value of 7.
