Originator: FG "Bor" Originator's code - 1543. The variety was bred by individual selection in F-2 from the population of crossing Shestopalivka, Myronivska - 808, Bezosta-1 and Odeska-83 varieties.
Universal, but has a pronounced bias for intensive use. The variety has a record high resistance to lodging, which allows it to withstand a 10-ton crop at a standstill, without lodging, shedding and sprouting on the root. The Staleva variety is the record holder for the width of the range of industrial use. The ear is large, of medium length (10-12 cm), medium density, 24 ears per 10 cm of the shaft. The shape of the ear is cylindrical. The wax coating is strongly expressed, when the spike is ripe, it is white and unbreakable. Awns are shorter than spikes, medium branching, rough, medium thickness, white when ripe. Spikelet scales are large, egg-shaped, nerves are weakly expressed. The tooth is short, sharp, slightly bent. The shoulder is narrow, slanted. The keel is strongly pronounced towards the base. The leaf is green, large. The wax coating is strongly expressed, pubescence is absent. From autumn, at the beginning of the bushing, the leaves are lighter, longer and more spreading than those of the Shestopalivka variety. The variety is resistant to soil and air drought, heat-resistant. Has increased winter hardiness and frost resistance. Has comprehensive resistance to all diseases of winter
wheat. The stem is hollow, thick, strong. The habit is semi-erect. The stem is green, when ripe it is white without pubescence. Wax coating is strongly expressed.
Shape
grain ovoid, color red, groove medium, base bare, bangs moderately pubescent.
The variety belongs to the group of strong wheats. In the competitive variety test for 3 years, the average yield was 86.2 t/ha, which is 7.8 t higher than the standards of the Shestopalivka variety. In terms of yield, the Staleva variety is the absolute leader during the entire period of use in competition, collection and production variety testing. Steel grade of universal production use for any environmental conditions and technologies, including irrigation. However, the best region for industrial use is the forest-steppe of Ukraine. This is the most successful fifth-generation variety for production.
