The variety was bred by individual selection in F-2 from the population of the crossing of the Staleva and Shestopalovka varieties.
Test signs: a variety of erythrospermum.
Vegetation period 265-275 days.
The springing period is 20 days.
Early earing and ripening.
Ear: large, medium length (10-12 cm), medium density - 22 spikes per 10 cm of stem.
The shape of the ear is cylindrical.
When ripening, the white, unbreakable, waxy flight is moderately expressed.
Awns are shorter than the ear, moderately divergent, of medium coarseness, thick, white when ripe.
Spike scale: large, ovoid, nerves weakly expressed.
The tooth is medium, sharp, slightly bent. The shoulder is narrow, strongly beveled. The keel is strongly pronounced towards the base.

The height of the plant is 75-85 cm.
The habit is semi-erect. The wax coating is moderately pronounced.
The stem is green, when it ripens it is white, there is no pubescence. Leaf: green, wide, medium length. Wax coating is moderately pronounced, pubescence is absent.
Since autumn, at the beginning of bushing, the leaves are lighter than those of the Shestopalovka variety. Features of the variety: universal, but has a clearly expressed slope of intensive use.
The variety has increased resistance to lodging, which allows it to withstand a 10-ton crop during standstill without lodging, shedding and sprouting on the root.
As the Staleva variety has a wider range of production use than the Shestopalovka variety due to regions with abundant moisture (Baltic). The variety is resistant to: soil and air drought.
Has increased winter hardiness and frost resistance. Has complex resistance to all diseases of winter wheat.
Grain: large, oval, mass of 1000 grains 45-55 grams.
The color is red, the furrow is medium, the base is bare, the tuft is sparsely pubescent. Grain quality: the variety belongs to the group of strong wheats.
Grain contains 15% protein, 30% gluten.
The strength of the flour is 465 a.a., the volume of bread from 100 grams of flour is 1150 cm3, the overall rating of the bread is 9 points.
Yield: in a competitive variety test over 3 years, the average yield is 82.7 t/ha, which is 4.3 t higher than the standards of the Shestopalovka variety.
The Ozern variety is a universal type of use, it is suitable for any environmental conditions and any cultivation technologies, including irrigation. However, the best region for this variety is the forest-steppe zone of Ukraine. The variety belongs to the varieties of the fifth generation and has a double physiology of development as the Shestopalovka variety.
In 2013, the variety was submitted to the state variety test.
