Mechanism of action:
Bethanal® maxPro® is quickly absorbed by the leaves and partly by the root system of weeds. The drug is able to move freely throughout the plant due to the downward and upward movement of nutrients. The growth of weeds and their competition with the crop ceases within a few hours after treatment. In the first days, the leaves of the affected weeds are deformed, their color changes towards discoloration (the process of the destruction of pigments), the growth points begin to die, and death occurs within 1-2 weeks after spraying, depending on weather conditions.

Properties:
Bethanal® maxPro® is a unique innovative oil-dispersed formulation created and patented by the Bayer company and obtained thanks to the improvement of ODesi technology — Double Activation (Advanced Activation). This new combination has partial soil action, contains active substances that are dispersed in a special carrier of oil derivatives, adhesive and activator. During dissolution in water, an extremely fine activated dispersion of microscopic complexes of active substances with oil is formed.

Selectivity:
Bethanal® maxPro® combines the high herbicidal efficiency of the active substances, the activator and the formulation itself, thanks to which the spectrum of weed control is expanded, and the unsurpassed selectivity, which is based on the fact that the active substances decompose in sugar beets through hydrolysis, which occurs in plant tissues at night. At the same time, the active substances do not decompose in the weeds affected by the herbicide and, thanks to the activator and formulation, have the ability to quickly penetrate and block the main processes in the weed cells, which causes the inevitable death of the latter.

The uniqueness of Bethanal® maxPro® is the flexible dosage, which makes it possible to appropriately regulate and minimize the dosage of the drug.
Depending on the stage of weed development, plant growth conditions and processing method, the application rate can be
from 1.25 l/ha to 1.5 l/ha per treatment.
The total maximum usage rate during the season is
4.0–4.5 l/ha depending on weather conditions, number and spectrum and stage of development of weeds.
The most effective scheme for protecting sugar beet crops from weeds is a three-time application in the amount of 1.5 l/ha per treatment.
