TSU-K drying complex
(thermal drying unit-combined)

Purpose: Thermal drying unit TSU-K, convective type, continuous operation, intended for drying crushed raw materials (chips, sawdust, milled peat) to the required humidity parameters (10%, adjustable), in production lines:
- fuel pellets, wood pellets (Wood Pellets); 160
- шнековых брикетов (Pini-Key);
- impact mechanical (NESTRO) and hydraulic briquettes (RUF).
Principle of operation: Wet ground raw material (wood sawdust, sawdust, shavings) is fed into the pre-drying zone of the acceleration pipe of the TSU, where the drying agent is sent from the heat generator. The drying agent is a mixture of air with a heat agent produced by a pyrolysis type heat generator and cleaned of ash residue in a cyclone unit. Further raw materials (wood shavings, sawdust, milled peat), in the flow of a high-speed drying agent (25-30 m/s), through the pneumatic transport system, enter the vortex drying chamber, where the rotary movement begins. High peripheral speed of movement of raw material and drying agent, friction of raw material particles between themselves and against the walls of the drying chamber, create conditions for activation of thermal and hydrodynamic regimes and ensure uniform drying of raw materials. Through a separate pneumatic pipe, fresh drying agent is supplied to the zone of the vortex chamber, which contributes to the intensification of the drying process of the raw material, the reduction of the time it stays in the drying chamber (up to 10s) and the increase in productivity. As it dries, the dried raw material (sawdust, shavings, peat) is ejected in a vertically directed flow into the cyclone-separator block. In the cyclone-separator, the coolant saturated with vapors is thrown into the atmosphere through aspiration, and the dried raw material is released through the sluice gate for delivery to the granulation, briquetting (packaging, storage) site.
