The mechanism of action of the Alfa-Copper fungicide
The mechanism of action is that under favorable conditions necessary for the germination of spores of pathogenic fungi, the copper contained in the preparation prevents their germination. The active substance, copper hydroxide, leads to various functional disorders of the vital activity of pathogens (inhibition of ergosterol biosynthesis, enzyme activity, respiration processes, disruption of the process of pathogen cell division and pathogen penetration into plants), which excludes the possibility of resistance to the drug.
Properties of Alfa-Copper Fungicide

• The maximum effectiveness of Alfa-Meda is achieved only with periodic, prophylactic use. It is necessary to adhere to the intervals between treatments in the protection system, correctly determine the duration of the protective period, and alternate with fungicides from other chemical groups. Compatible with most pesticides, except for organophosphates and preparations with a low acid reaction of the tank mixture (pH below 5.5).
• The duration of the protective action when observing the optimal consumption norms is 7-10 days, in case of precipitation, the treatment is repeated. It is ineffective against pathogens that have already penetrated the plant, since it is located on the leaf surface and does not penetrate inside.
General recommendations for the use of Fungicide Alfa-Copper

• The fungicide is used prophylactically during the growing season or when the first signs of the disease appear.
• When preparing the working solution: the necessary amount of the drug is poured into the 1/3 filled tank of the sprayer with the mixing mode turned on and after 15 minutes, water is added to the full volume of the tank.
• Prevent the use of water with a pH lower than 5 and higher than 11, since at such acidity the drug slowly decomposes to copper oxide.
• Processing is carried out in the morning or in the evening, in windless weather.
• Optimum temperature conditions of application from +15° to +25°С.
• Rate of consumption of working fluid: field crops - 300-400 l/ha, orchards and vineyards - 800-1000 l/ha
