Hat. Diameter 5-8 (15) cm, flat-convex, matte, finely pubescent with dark scales, yellowish-gray, gray-brown, fleshy, with a rolled edge, often with inconspicuous remains of the cover.

Leg. 2-5 cm long and 1-3 cm in diameter, thick, narrowed to the base, finely scaly, with the edges of descending plates, whitish, yellowish, with a rapidly disappearing ring.

Flesh. Dense, light or yellowish, hardens quite early.

Useful properties. Oak oyster has a number of properties useful for health, which is especially important nowadays due to environmental pollution: it prevents the development of tumors, it contains bioelements that increase the body's resistance to radionuclides.

Upotreblenie. Oveshenko is a delicious edible mushroom, a real find for any cook, for any housewife. It takes 15-20 minutes to prepare first or second courses from oyster mushrooms. Oyster mushrooms can be boiled, stewed, fried, salted, pickled, fermented, dried, etc. Dishes made from oyster mushrooms retain a pronounced mushroom taste and aroma, as well as useful properties, in any cooking method.
