Removable connectors K27, K28 of the K20 system are intended for connecting conveyor belts with a strength of up to 1000 N/mm, thickness from 7 to 13 mm, minimum the recommended diameter of the drive drum is 250 mm.
The design feature of the mechanical connectors of the K20 series, type K27, K28, is the method of connecting the wire joint to the conveyor belt using four-wire steel clamps connected to each other in strips 196 mm long. Such a design provides a gentle effect on the cord of the conveyor belt and, as a result, increased dynamic strength of the butt joint and minimal impact of the butt on the drum lining and conveyor construction elements.

Removable connectors K27, K28 are pressed into the ends of the joined tapes with the help of a special lever device SKL20 U, after which both parts of the joint are connected according to the "zipper lock" principle, i.e. the staples of one end of the tape are placed between the staples of the other, and the K20 connecting rod is inserted into the loops.
