ORIGINATOR: INSTITUTE OF PLANT PHYSIOLOGY AND GENETICS OF THE NATIONAL NATURE OF UKRAINE.
ENTERED INTO THE REGISTER OF PLANT VARIETIES OF UKRAINE for 2015 for cultivation in the steppe and forest-steppe zones of Ukraine.
BIOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS: The Boria variety is medium-growing, highly intensive, of the Western European ecological type.(//tractor-service.com)
Medium-early variety with a prolonged period of functioning of the pre-aortic leaf, plant height 92-95 cm. Vegetation period 264-282 days. Resistant to laying down. It has high winter hardiness and above-average drought resistance. Resistant to damage by major diseases and pests, to shedding and germination of grain in the ear. A variety of lutescens.
GRAIN QUALITY: FLOUR MILLING AND BREADING INDICATORS OF THE VARIETY ARE GOOD AND EXCELLENT.Grain contains 13.6-14.4% protein, 28.5-29.3% crude gluten.Flour strength 271-288 a.o., volume of bread from 100 g of flour 960-1080 ml. Strong wheat.
ECONOMIC CHARACTERISTICS: the variety is highly productive.
According to the originator (IFRG of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine), in the years of the competitive trial (2011-2014), the average yield of the Boria variety was 87.8 t/ha, which was 9.5 t/ha higher than the yield of the national standard.

Урожай grains of the variety in the state variety study (2011-2013) in 40 variety trials was 50.0-101.3 t/ha. The average yield in the Steppe zone during the years of the State Trial was 49.1 t/ha, in the Forest-Steppe zone - 66.7 t/ha, Polissia - 57.5 t/ha. Guaranteed allowance to the national standard in the zone of Lisostep and Polissia 4.0-7.1 t/ha.
