strong wheat
In the Register of plant varieties of Ukraine since 2010, recommended for cultivation in the steppe and forest-steppe zones of the country.
Economic and biological characteristics:
• High-intensity type for universal use on high and medium agro backgrounds.
• High genetic productivity potential due to the combination of optimal productive bushiness (680-760 productive stems per 1 m2) with a large, well-seeded ear (58-68 grains per ear). In station variety tests of the institute (2004-2008), the yield on different agro-backgrounds was 68.4-122.4 t/ha, which is higher than national standards by 8.4-24.7%. In the state variety test (2007-2008), with an average yield of 68.5 t/ha, the variety exceeded national standards by 9%.
• Medium-sized (98-117 cm), resistant to lodging, shedding and sprouting on the stump.
• Frost-winter resistance is above the average level (7-8 points), drought-heat resistance is high (7-8 points).
• Resistant to brown rust (6-7 points), moderately susceptible to powdery mildew (4-5 points), tolerant to fusarium head blight, flying soot.

The quality of
grain: meets the requirements for strong wheat of class I-III. In the state variety test, the protein content was 13.0-14.6%, gluten 27.2-32.0%, flour strength 285-419 o. a., the overall evaluation of bread is 4.4-4.8 points.
Testimonials: a variety of lutescens. The ear is white and spineless (apicule-like appendages 2.0-2.5 mm long appear), 90-108 mm long, medium density (20-21 ears per 100 mm of the rod). Spike scale oval, length 9.2-10.5 mm, width 3.7-4.8 mm. Shoulder straight, width 0.7-0.9 mm. The tooth is straight, 0.8-1.2 mm long. Keel available. The grain is red, oval in shape, length 7.1-8.1 mm, width 3.3-3.6 mm, thickness 2.9-3.4 mm. Weight of 1000 grains 42-44 g.
Agrotechnical requirements: it is distinguished by an exceptionally high positive reaction to the increase of the agricultural background, especially on
application of nitrogen fertilizers. The maximum return is achieved when growing according to intensive technology. It should be used when a harvest of 80-100 t/ha is planned. Sowing dates and sowing norms are generally accepted for winter wheat in the growing zones.
