Acet-top KE — a selective broad-spectrum herbicide that destroys weeds before they appear on the soil surface. Prevents weeds from competing with young plantssunflower andcorn, which are especially sensitive to joint germination at the initial stages of growth and development.

Mechanism of action:

After applying Acet-top KE herbicide to the soil, it remains in the upper layer and penetrates the weeds through their seedlings and roots. The mechanism of action consists in inhibiting cell division due to disruption of their protein metabolism. The transport of amino acids and auxins in the coleoptile stops, the osmotic pressure decreases, and the embryo dies. Weed seedlings, when passing through the upper layers of the soil, also absorb acetochlor and die before they appear on the surface. In plants of annual grass weeds, the active substance, as a rule, enters through the top, and in plants of annual dicotyledons, the herbicide enters through the primary roots.

Symptoms and duration of action:

The effect of the drug on weeds is irreversible. Characteristic symptoms: leaf curling, growth arrest andwax formation on the leaves.

If the application technology is followed, the drug remains active in the upper layer of the soil and ensures the absence of weeds for 12-14 weeks.

Spending rates and methods of payment:

The herbicide Acet-top KE is used in fields where corn and sunflower are grown with a consumption rate of 1.5-3.0 l/ha and is applied with a field sprayer depending on the situation: before sowing, during sowing and after sowing the crop, but before the emergence of seedlings.
Consumption rates of the Acet-top KE herbicide depend on the weediness of the fields, the species composition of weeds, and also to a large extent on the type of soil.

Soils with a high content of humus and clay partially reduce the effectiveness of the drug. It is recommended to use the drug in minimum rates on low-humus, mechanically light soils (sandy), on loamy soils and soils with a high humus content (more than 3%) - in maximum rates.(//tractor-service.com)

The activity of Acet-top KE herbicide directly depends on the presence of moisture in the soil. Optimal conditions are rainfall or irrigation after application (10-20 mm). If the soil is wet, then no work is done. If the soil is dry (arid spring), it is necessary to work mechanically (with light harrows) to a depth of 2-4 cm.

The soil should be sufficiently warm and loose, should not have large hard lumps, which increase the absorption area and reduce the effectiveness of the drug.

The best method of application is immediately after sowing the crop, under harrowing.

Acet-top KE herbicide is applied without earning when there is a large amount of crop residues and reliable rainfall.

So, to achieve the maximum effectiveness of Acet-top KE herbicide, the main conditions are:
1. Presence of soil moisture;
2. Small lumpy structure of the soil;
3. Uniform distribution of the working solution in the soil layer 0-5 cm.

General recommendations:

Soil spraying is carried out before sowing, during sowing, after sowing but before the appearance of crop seedlings.
Before processing, the soil must be well prepared.
The recommended volume of the working solution is 200-400 l/ha.
The working solution of the drug must be used within 24 hours from the moment of preparation.
