Mechanism of action:
When spraying with the herbicide Boston KE, the active substance (clethodim) is well absorbed through the leaves and young stems and quickly moves through the plant. The place of action of cletodym is the tops of shoots (growth cones), nodes of thickening, roots and buds, where the process of cell division is disturbed. After 1-2 days, in sensitive cereal plants, growth stops, the color of the leaves changes - first to yellowish, purple, and then to brown. Plants die in 7-14 days, and the rhizomes of perennial plants die in 3 weeks.
The drug acts systemically on weeds, actively penetrating all parts of the plant, including the root. The herbicidal effect of Boston KE does not depend on soil and climatic conditions and is effective at minimum application rates.

The company "DVA Agro GmbH" recommends the use of the surfactant Kouter with the Boston KE preparation, which allows you to obtain the highest efficiency of protection against cereal weeds. In some cases, it is possible to use other SARs (including Adjutant-L).

Recommendations for use:
• the drug must be used only with the addition of a surfactant;
• volume of working solution – 250-300 l/ha;
• to obtain maximum efficiency, continuous and uniform spraying of the aerial part of weeds should be ensured;
• the working solution must be used within a few hours after preparation;
• optimal air temperature: from +15 °С to +25 °С;
• optimal air humidity – 65%-90%;
• you should refrain from spraying an hour before rain and in case of severe drought, frost and other adverse conditions.

The most effective period for using Boston KE herbicide is the phase of intensive weed growth: 2-4 leaves for annuals and a height of 10-15 cm for perennial species.

Compatibility
In tank mixtures, Boston KE is ideally combined with herbicides based on desmedipham, phenmedipham, etofumesate, triflusulfuron, metamitron, clopyralid.
The compatibility of the herbicide with other drugs may depend on their preparation forms and on the quality of the water. In each specific case, when using tank mixture, it is desirable to make sure of the physico-chemical compatibility of the components and its absence of phytotoxicity to the culture.
Mixing Boston KE herbicide with fertilizers is not recommended.
