Sudan grass, or sudanka (Sorghum sudanense L.) is an ANNUAL crop, belongs to the genus sorghum, family of CEREALS. WILLINGLY EAT GRASS AND HAYLARGE-HORNED CATTLE, sheep and horses. Sudanese grass is also used for SILAGE.Sudan grass WELL GROWS WELL after mowing: under favorable growing conditions, it can produce 2-3 slopes per summer, and under irrigation conditions - 4-5 slopes with a total grass yield of 600-1000 t/ha. Sudanka is a VERY DROUGHT-RESISTANT culture, due to its low transpiration coefficient and well-developed root system. A valuable biological feature of sudanka is its GOOD regrowth after mowing or grazing, as well as high tillering energy. Traditionally, sudanka is grown to obtain high-quality livestock fodder.
