It is characterized by very high resistance to almost all diseases inherent in apple trees, it is used for organic cultivation without the use of chemical preparations! Medium-sized trees. The fruits are very large, with an average weight of 200-250 grams, round shape, green-yellow color with a slight pink blush. The pulp is creamy with yellow, dense, juicy. The taste characteristics are very high, a harmonious combination of sweet and sour taste (Brix higher than 16!). Fruits are preserved until spring.

Opal - Czech Republic, new winter variety (Golden Delicious x Topaz). A tree of restrained growth, winter-hardy, early-fruiting, productive. The fruits are medium-sized, rounded, the skin is yellow, smooth, shiny, rather rough, without a tendency to become wrinkled. The flesh is yellow, dense, of medium juiciness, sweet, with a special delicate aroma, unlike any of the parent species. I strongly suspect that the variety has a long period during which it can be harvested - about four weeks, which significantly simplifies harvesting for producers. The variety is under study.
