The variety has morphological features;
The root of the safflower is rod-shaped, very branchy, and penetrates to a depth of up to 2 m, which provides the plant with a sufficient amount of moisture during a period of prolonged drought.
The edge of the leaf surface is covered with thorns.
Inflorescence - multi-flowered conical, dome-shaped basket with a diameter of 2.5-2.8 cm.
On average, the number of baskets on one plant in crops is from 15 to 20 pcs.
After full ripening, the seeds do not crumble and the baskets do not fall.
The flowers in the inflorescence are tubular, from 20 to 150 pieces,
with a five-part corolla of red, yellow-orange color, which turn red by the end of flowering.
The fruit is a white elongated seed with indistinct ribs, in shape it resembles a sunflower seedsunflower.
