Basalt mats are made from canvases of superfine basalt fiber BSTV. They are available in covers made of fiberglass, metal mesh, silica fabric, or without covers. They are stitched with glass thread (silica thread).
Mats have excellent heat and sound insulation properties; non-combustible, fire-resistant, fire-resistant; environmentally friendly (do not contain phenol-containing binder); not subject to aging; chemically resistant, do not absorb moisture from the air; resistant to vibrations (does not break). They meet the increased requirements for thermal insulation materials used at NPPs and TPPs. In terms of heat, acid, and water resistance, they have no analogues of heat-insulating materials imported to Ukraine.

The service life is more than 50 years.
