Toyota SAS is the world's first active system for controlling the stability of a
loader. It ensures the stability of the machine under any conditions, as well as protection of the operator and materials during movement, turns and lifting/lowering of cargo.
The operator's seat is equipped with a sensor that detects the operator's presence (OPS system). If the operator is not there, the movement of the machine, lifting and lowering of the load is blocked. This protects the loader from improper use.
If the SAS system detects the instability of the machine when turning, it instantly blocks the rear axle, reducing the risk of the loader tipping over on its side.
The SAS Active Mast system prevents the cargo from sliding or falling and prevents the loader from overturning due to longitudinal instability. At the same time, two functions can be used. 1) The function of controlling the forward tilt of the mast — the system estimates the weight of the load and the height of the mast, automatically intercepts control and controls the tilt of the mast forward, reducing the probability of the load falling or tipping the machine itself. 2) The backward and forward tilt speed adjustment function limits the mast tilt speed, preventing the load from falling onto the driver's cabin.
The function of monitoring the position of the forks within the SAS system provides high speed positioning of pallets, preventing damage to the cargo. By pressing the button, the perfectly horizontal installation of the forks is achieved. This simplifies loading and unloading.
A good all-round view additionally increases operational safety. The cabin, roof and masts of Tonero are designed so that the operator can clearly see the forks when moving, as well as when lifting and lowering the load.
