Winter wheat variety "ZhytnytsiaOdesa"

ORIGINATOR: Breeding and Genetic Institute - National Center of Seed Science and Varietal Research.
Economic and biological characteristics:
- high-intensity type, universal use on medium and high agrophones;
- yield in the state variety test is 8.3 - 12.9 t/ha, significantly exceeding national standards by 0.93 - 1.58 t/ha (11.6 - 22.5%). The variety forms a high yield due to the combination of a large (10.8-12.4 cm), well-seeded ear (56-68 grains) and a highly productive bushiness (688-890 stems per 1 m2);
- short-stemmed type, plant height 82-92 cm, exceptionally resistant to lodging (9 points), shedding (9 points) and sprouting on the stump during dormancy (rest period 45-50 days);
- medium ripe. Vegetation period 282-287 days;
- increased frost-winter resistance (9 points) and drought-heat resistance (9 points);
- group resistance to brown (7-8 points), stem (6-7 points) and yellow (6-7 points) rust, powdery mildew (7-8 points), septoriosis (6-7 points), pyrenephorosis (7-8 points), powdery mildew diseases (6-7 points), ear fusarium (5-6 points). In addition, the variety shows resistance to fungal infections and high acidity and salinity of the soil.
