It is recommended for cultivation in the forest-steppe and forest-steppe zones of Ukraine.

Distinctive features of the variety and approbation features.

A variety of erythrospermum, semi-spreading bush, plant height is medium (94-104 cm), wax coating on the sheath of the flag leaf is strong, on the ear and on the upper internode - very strong. The ear is spiny, white, pyramidal in shape, medium length and medium density. The shoulder of the spikelet scale is beveled, medium in width. Spikelet spike is medium in length, slightly bent. The grain is oval-elongated, large, red in color, weight 1000 seeds 45-50 g.

Biological and economic indicators

Mid-early, emerges 3 days earlier than Perlyna forest-steppe and 2-3 days later than Bilotserkivska semi-dwarf.(//tractor-service.com)

Winter hardiness, according to field experiments of sorting stations and freezing in the chambers of the Institute of Plant Breeding, is increased.

Medium-sized, lodging resistance - 8.8 points.

Quite resistant to major diseases, resistance (in points)

to powdery mildew – 8.9, to fusarium head blight – 8.2, septoriosis – 8.4; degree of damage by root rot – 11.7%, brown rust – 3.5% (according to the Strakhov scale).

Highly productive. On average, over 2 years of state variety testing in the Forest Steppe zone, 61.2 t/ha were obtained, in the Polissya zone – 50.0 t/ha, at the level of the standard Podolyanka variety.

The Tsarivna variety has increased drought resistance, which affected its productivity in the extremely dry year of 2007.

Bread-making qualities: According to the data of the laboratory of the state commission, the Tsarivna variety is classified as a strong wheat: protein content in grain - 14.0-14.2%, gluten - 30.1-31.0%, strengthflour W = 342-375 o.a., volume of bread, 1180-1100 ml in the zone Forest Steppe and Polissia, respectively.
