Against a background of high mineral nutrition, it provides record harvests. According to the originator (IFRG of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine) in the years of the competitive trial, the average yield of the Novosmuglyanka variety was 101.5 t/ha, which is 9.1 t/ha higher than the yield of the national standard.
The average yield of the Novosmuglianka variety in the Steppe zone during the years of the State Trial was 56.4 t/ha, in the Forest Steppe zone – 68.4 t/ha, Polissya – 59.6 t/ha, which exceeds the national standard by 2.7-5.4 t/ha.
GRAIN QUALITY: flour milling and baking properties are good and excellent.
Grain of the Novosmuglianka variety contains 13.2–14.0% protein, 28.6–31.3% crude gluten, flour strength 315–350 a.o., volume of bread from 100 g of flour 1000–1100 ml, overall assessment of baking qualities 7.8–8.0 points. Classified as strong wheat.
AGROTECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS: a variety for good owners, the growing technology is usual for varieties of the high-intensity type. The variety needs, reacts well and withstands high levels of mineral nutrition, forming high yields on them. To ensure high grain yields, it is also necessary to protect plants from pests and diseases, especially after throwing out the ear, with fungicides such as Alto Super, Falcon or Folicur.
In order to obtain high-quality grain, it is necessary to carry out the third top dressing with dry nitrogen fertilizers or foliar top dressing with urea N10-15 kg per ha in the earing phase - milk ripeness.
The norm
seed sowing 5.0-6.0 million similar grains per 1 ha depending on the zone and moisture supply. Sow in the second half of the optimal terms.
CHARACTERISTICS OF THE VARIETY:
It has an extended period of postharvest dormancy, which must be taken into account when determining seed germination;
prone to cross-pollination, causing little variability in stem height within the main cultivar phenotype;
The depth of seed wrapping should be no more than 5-7 cm.
