NH4)2SO4, (N21 S24)
It is a crystalline salt of white, yellowish or gray color, well soluble in water.
Fertilizer is more physiologically acidic than
ammonium nitrate. It is recommended for application on non-acidic (saturated with bases) soils and on acidic soils with liming.
Can be applied in autumn. Fertilizer is valuable for its sulfur content. Slow-acting fertilizer for main or pre-sowing application.
When introduced into the soil,
ammonium sulfate dissolves quickly. The ammonium group is absorbed by the soil absorption complex, which keeps nitrogen from leaching. Due to good sorption in the soil, it is not washed away and is the only source of nitrogen for plants for a longer period.

It is recommended to apply to crops that are sensitive to sulfur deficiency: cruciferous vegetables (rape, turnip, mustard, turnip, cabbage), corn, potatoes, onions, garlic, rye, oats; and on soils poor in sulfur.
If the fertilizers used for the main
application of fertilizer did not contain sulfur, then you can feed potatoes with ammonium sulfate, preferably 8-15 days after planting the tubers. Scattered fertilizers are wrapped in the soil during mechanical loosening.
A one-time application of ammonium sulfate, even on podzolic soils, does not significantly affect the change in the reaction of the soil solution, and the systematic application of this fertilizer on podzolic and podzolic soils leads to acidification of the soil solution. This feature of the fertilizer is taken into account when using it, simultaneously liming the soil.
On chernozems, the use of ammonium sulfate does not have a negative effect on plant development.
