Composition
100 ml of the drug contains the active substance:
danofloxacin (danofloxacin mesylate - 22.84 g) - 18.0 g.
Auxiliary substances: 2-pyrrolidone, povidone C15, heavy magnesium oxide, phenol,
monothioglycerol, concentrated hydrochloric acid, sodium chloride, water for injections.

Danofloxacin belongs to the group of fluoroquinolones of the III generation. The drug has a bactericidal effect, the mechanism of which is the inactivation of the DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV enzymes, resulting in the inhibition of the DNA replication process of the bacterial cell. Danofloxacin is active against gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms: Pasteurellamultocida, Mannheimia (Pasteurella) hemolitica, Haemophilussomnus, Actinobacilluspleuropneumoniae, Escherichiacoli, Salmonellaspp., Staphylococcusspp., Mycoplasmahyopneumoniae, M. bovis, Enterococcusfaecalis, Bacillusspp., Klebsiellaspp., Proteusspp.(//tractor-service.com)
After subcutaneous administration to cattle, danofloxacin is quickly absorbed and distributed in the tissues of the animal's body. The bioavailability of the drug in this case is about 90%. The maximum concentration in blood plasma is observed 1-2 hours after taking the drug. The concentration of danofloxacin in the tissues of the lungs and intestines is almost 4 times higher than the concentration of the drug in plasma, which indicates a directed effect of the drug. Danofloxacin is excreted from the body mainly with urine, and also partially with bile.
Application
Treatment ofcattle, a patient with acute mastitis (caused by E. coli), as well as diseases of the respiratory and gastrointestinal tract caused by microorganisms sensitive to danofloxacin.
Contraindications
Increased sensitivity to danofloxacin and other quinolones.
Do not apply to females during pregnancy.
Do not treat animals with signs of diseases of the central nervous system accompanied by convulsions.
Do not use in animals with insufficient cartilage and bone development.
Do not apply for the detection of strains of pathogenic bacteria resistant to quinolones.
