The harvester provides a slice of sunflower directly under the basket due to a certain position of the protective cover of the reel in relation to the plane of the sunflower slice.
The protective casing of the sunflower header can be adjusted in height and reach, which always guarantees the necessary clearances between the lifters, reel and auger, which are also adjustable depending on the condition of the sunflower.
The sunflower is separated by lifters, tilted by a protective cover at a certain angle and captured by a reel, which pulls the sunflower into the cutting zone, cutting it under the basket and throwing it under the auger. The auger feeds the sunflower baskets into the center of the harvester and further into the inclined chamber of the harvester. The leaves and stems remain on the ground, thanks to which the seed contamination in the bunker is insignificant, less than 1.2%, which ensures high quality sunflower and uniform operation of the thresher of the combine.
The clutch of the feeding auger protects the auger in the event of stones and other foreign objects hitting it, and limits the supply of torque to the auger. That undoubtedly increases the service life of the auger.
