Яма є металевою конструкцією, виконаною з листів металу товщиною 3 мм, посилених ребрами жорсткості з профільної труби. По краю завальної ями проходить проїзна балка (трап) якщо яма напівпроїзна, а якщо проїзна то 2 балки з кожної зі строн, а по всіх поверхнях ями наварюється сталевий прут на відстань 5 см один від одного для просівання зерна в яму і запобігання травматизму робітників на ямі У кутку передбачений люк для доступу до вивантажувального отвору завальної ями та сходи у вигляді скоб на похилій поверхні стінки бункера. По краю трапа проходять обмежувачі для автомобіля для бічного розвантаження та з торця ями для заднього розвантаження.
