Buckwheat grade "Antaria"
The originator is the NSC "Institute of Agriculture of the National Academy of Sciences".

The variety was bred by the NSC "Institute of Agriculture of the National Academy of Sciences of the Russian Academy of Sciences" and the "Antaria" LLC by combining individual selections based on the background characteristics of inflorescence grain size, seed productivity, equalized by the length of the growing season and technological grain characteristics, selection numbers of different genetic origin.

The variety is alata, plants 95-100 cm tall, well leafed, 5-6 internodes on the main stem, weight of 1000 grains 27-29 g.
The variety is medium-ripening, the duration of the growing season is 85-87 days, it is resistant to shedding and laying, it belongs to the valuable varieties in terms of qualitygrain (grain uniformity - 88-90%, filminess - 21-22%, grain yield - 75-76%, protein content - 16%). No damage by diseases or pests was noted.

According to the results of state and commercial cultivation, the variety with a yield level of 18.6-36.8 t/ha (depending on soil and climatic conditions) exceeded the best national standards (Ukrainka and Lileya varieties) by 3.2-8.7 t/ha, as well as all tested varieties.(//tractor-service.com)

The cultivation technology is generally accepted, the sowing period is the end of April - the second decade of May, the seed sowing rate for the wide-row sowing method is 65-70 kg/ha. Technological grade adapted to mechanized harvesting.
It is recommended for cultivation in the Polissia, Forest Steppe and Steppe zones of Ukraine.
