The development of agriculture is impossible without the development of the pesticide market. Products of the new generation for plant protection are primarily drugs that, in addition to being the most effective, are also safe for the environment, as well as highly selective for culture. The DuPont company introduced the Koragen product to the NW market to protect
potatoes, apple trees, tomatoes and corn, as well as soybeans and
sunflowers от опаснейших вредителей. Инсектицид является уникальным препаратом с новым механизмом действия и большим количеством выгодных отличий.
Key advantages of the drug
The fundamentally new mechanism of action of Koragen contributes to the fact that the drug has an ovicidal (destruction of laid eggs), ovilarvicidal (destruction of insects at the moment of gnawing from an egg) and larvicidal (destruction of larvae and caterpillars) effect on a wide range of pests. The product is a worthy participant in the integrated and anti-resistant protection systems of many agricultural crops.
The excellent insecticidal effect of Koragen is tracked in the following indicators:
flexibility in application - the product is widely used at different stages of the life cycle of insects; the speed of impact – after treatment, after a few hours, the pests lose their ability to pollinate, thereby guaranteeing the integrity of the crop and fruits;
long-term protection - the period of protective effect is observed up to 3, and sometimes up to 4 weeks;
independence from weather conditions – Koragen shows activity in different climatic conditions, resistant to being washed away by sediments.

Mechanism and spectrum of influence
The active ingredient of the insecticide is chloranthraniliprole from the class of anthranilides. It moves translaminarly along the plant, it acts on pests in an intestinal-contact way at different stages of development. After treatment, paralysis of the insect is noticeable after a couple of hours, there are no contractile movements of the muscles, and absolute death occurs in 2-4 days. The innovative mechanism of influence of Koragen is expressed in the effect on ryanidin receptors. They regulate the work of the nervous and muscular system, thanks to the ability to change the concentration of calcium at the cellular level. The insecticide provokes excessive release of calcium particles (ions) in the muscles of the insect, sharply and significantly depleting the internal reserves of this element in the body of the phytopathogen. Koragen shows activity against Lepidoptera, Coleoptera and Diptera insects. The most popular sensitive species are fruit beetles, Colorado potato beetles, potato moths, leafhoppers, California leafhoppers, scoops, moths and many other types of harmful insects.
Peculiarities of the processing of individual crops
In order to protect the apple tree, an important role is played by the time of application of the drug. After all, after the introduction of the caterpillar into the fruit of the tree (the fruit tree, in particular), it becomes practically invulnerable to insecticides. Therefore, tracking the population of pests is the best way to choose the best time to process the crop. The maximum dose of insecticide is used in the case of a large population of pests. The first spraying is preferably carried out during the mass summer of butterflies, when they mate and lay eggs. The use of Koragen contributes to the effect of "population reduction", since the suppression of pests occurs at different stages of the insect's life cycle. The ability of the insecticide to disorientate moths is also proven, which manifests itself in the loss of their ability to capture pheromones and thereby mate.
Koragen is used on potatoes during almost the entire period of existence of the Colorado potato beetle without the risk of developing resistance to the drug. The maximum results will be achieved when the insecticide is used at the stages from egg deposition to the emergence of larvae. After processing, the individuals of the pest can remain on the surface of the crop for some time in a paralyzed form.
Treating tomatoes with an insecticide twice a season is guaranteed to protect plants from a complex of scoops for up to 40 days. During the period of mass egg-laying, the first spraying of the culture should be carried out. Re-entry is allowed no earlier than 18-21 days. Thanks to the translaminar distribution of the insecticide through the culture, protection of the new growth of tomatoes from a number of insects is also ensured.
Protection of corn Coragen insecticide reduces the risk of fungal infections. It is known that damage to the culture by some pests contributes to the formation of mycotoxic foci on it. Therefore, the control of moths and scoops on corn is an indispensable step in ensuring comfortable conditions for crop cultivation. After using Koragen, an increase in the "green effect" on the corn was also noted. This is due to the fact that the vascular system of the culture remains intact and is not affected by pests. And, as a result, such long-term greening contributes to a better harvest. The phase 63-85 in crops and the period of mass summer and egg-laying of pests are considered optimal for applying Koragen.
