Mechanism of action of Alpha-Promethrin:

Alpha-Promethrin is a herbicide of selective action. The drug is absorbed both by seedlings and by the roots of germinating weeds when the drug is applied to seedlings. It acts on weeds that have come down through the leaves. The active substance blocks the process of photosynthesis in weed plants.

Properties of Alpha-Promethrin:

Alpha-Promethrin is characterized by high selectivity, compatible with anti-grass soil herbicides (need to check for compatibility). The active substance is completely decomposed in the soil by the end of the growing season. The use of Alpha-Promethrin eliminates competition from weeds at the early, most critical moment for the culture. Destroys germinating weeds in the pre-emergence period or within 5-7 days of post-emergence application.

The spectrum of action of Alpha-Promethrin:

General recommendations:

Alpha-Promethrin is used mainly before or after sowing - before the sprouts of the culture. The consumption rate of the drug depends on the mechanical composition of the soil and its potential clogging. On light soils, low rates are used, on heavy (high-humus) soils, the consumption rate is increased to the maximum. After applying the drug, do not carry out inter-row cultivation, as this will reduce its herbicidal effect. In arid conditions, it is recommended to wrap to a depth of 2-3 cm. In pre-emergence application, the soil must be well prepared and moistened. To expand the spectrum of action and reduce the cost of processing cropssunflower it is recommended to use in tank mixtures: Etalon (1.5-2.2 l/ha) + Alpha-Promethrin (2.0 l/ha); in cool spring conditions – Alfa-Hetman (2.0 l/ha) + Alfa-Promethrin (2.0 l/ha). Herbicide treatment should be carried out in the morning or evening at an air temperature of +15 °C to +25 °C.
