The upper sieve is part of the upper sieve bed and experiences the main load during the separation of the grain pile. After analyzing the breakdowns and the wishes of our customers, a number of improvements have been made to the design of our upper sieve. In order to exclude the rattle of the comb from vibration duringwork of the harvester each axle stands on five shock absorbers. Comb petals are made of galvanized sheet steel with a thickness of 0.8 mm. The comb is welded on a contact welding machine, which significantly reduces corrosion at the welding points. The frame is welded from light and, at the same time, due to its special shape, a rigid profile into which comb spokes are inserted. Inside the profile, the spokes are pressed by a special shock absorber. The sieve frame is covered with an anti-corrosion polymer powder coating 220-250 microns thick.
