UPS-8 universal pneumatic seed drill, intended for dotted sowing of calibrated seeds: corn, sunflower, castor, sorghum, soybeans, as well as fodder bean seeds: soybeans, beans, and lupine with simultaneous, separate from seeds, application of granular mineral fertilizers and rolling of the soil in the rows.
To create a stable discharge in the pneumatic system, the seeder is equipped with a rotary fan, which works directly from the tractor's power take-off shaft, through the cardan shaft with a speed of 540 revolutions per minute. The fan of the new model has an overrunning clutch, thanks to which, when turning, after dropping the engine speed, the fan continues to work by inertia, the seeds do not fall off the seeding disc.
