Dosage
The poisoned bait is prepared by mixing brodifacoum 0.25% with benign food products (
cleaned grain, groats, granulated
compound feed, etc.) in a ratio of 20 g of concentrate per 1 kg of finished bait. To increase the attractiveness for rodents, it is recommended to use additional food attractants — unrefined vegetable oil (3%) or sugar (3-10% in the bait). Bait is placed in pre-identified rodent habitats: along walls, partitions, near burrows, laid out in dry places under shelters using adapted containers (bait boxes, drainage pipes, trays, boxes) or special containers. The bait is laid out in 50-100 g for rats or 10-25 g for mice. The distance between the bait placement points is 2-15 m, depending on the number of rodents. Portions of bait for mice are laid out more often than for rats. The decomposed bait is inspected 1-2 days after it is laid, and then with an interval of 1 week.
