Pharmacological properties

The drug has a strong antimicrobial effect against gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms; has a detrimental effect on trichomonads. Microbes that are sensitive to furazolidone slowly acquire resistance.

Applications

Treatment and prevention of colibacteriosis, salmonellosis, coccidiosis, dyspepsia and other bacterial infections in animals andbirds caused by microorganisms sensitive to the drug, as well as balantidiosispigs and rubella of carp.

Orally mixed with feed or individually in the following doses:

to calves andpiglets 3-5 mg/kg of live weight for 3-7 days;

poultry 2-3 g per 1000 heads twice a day for 5-8 days;

for carp: 1-2 g/10 kg of feed for 5-7 days.

Polyethylene or metallized packages of 1 and 25 kg.

A dry, dark place at a temperature from 5 °C to 25 °C.
