WORKING PRINCIPLE of the UPS-8 planter
The device of the seeding device of the planters of the ups-8 family is unique in its own way. A special disc with holes arranged around the circumference rotates at the edge of the seed mass. A vacuum is created behind the disk with the help of a vanecentrifugal pump. The size of the holes is slightly smaller than the size of the sown seeds. Thanks to the thinning behind the disc and the correctly selected diameter of the hole, one seed is sucked into each of them.

With further rotation of the disk, each seed in turn reaches the dropper, and, having fallen into a specially created air stream, shoots into the soil with little effort. The device is somewhat complex in design, but the accuracy of sowing crops is an order of magnitude superior to everything that was designed and manufactured before it.

A special vacuumpump is responsible for the creation of the discharge, which is activated, like all other mechanisms of the unit, from the PTO of the aggregating seeder of the power plant. Then the discharge is transmitted to each seeding device with the help of vacuum lines.
