Vacuum pump VVN 1-6, engine 15 kW, Ivano-Frankivsk region.

Vacuum pump VVN 1-6 is intended, depending on the material of the flow part, for suction (vacuum creation) of air, inert or aggressive gases insoluble in water. The working fluid is water.
Pump VVN 1-6 - vacuum, water ring with shaft seal. It consists of the following main parts: cover, body, disc, bracket, shaft. When the disc rotates, the water entrained by the paddles under the action of centrifugal forces is thrown to the periphery of the cover, forming a water ring. A rarefied space is created between the hub of the working disk and the inner surface of the water ring, which ensures gas suction through a large sickle-shaped cutout in the pump housing. With further rotation of the disc, the pumped gas is compressed. Through a small sickle-shaped cutout in the body, gas and excess water are thrown into the discharge pipe of the pump.
