The mechanism of action of Gladiator herbicide
The active substance of the herbicide belongs to the group of triazines. The drug is absorbed both through the root system and through the leaves of weeds. After absorption by the roots, metamitron moves very quickly to the leaf apparatus of the plant, where it blocks the process of photosynthesis.
Properties of Gladiator herbicide
The herbicide is used to destroy the following types of weeds: common sorrel, bitter gorse, bitter gorse, black solanum, white marigold, wild radish, common shepherd's bag, deaf nettle, chamomile (species), medium-sized asterisk, lutea (species), medicinal sedum, field yarrow, violet, small-flowered cornflower, blue cornflower, sweet cornflower tenacious, chicken millet, common ryegrass, mousetail foxtail, annual bluegrass, etc.

The post-emergence herbicide is applied after weed germination (cotyledon phase of broad-leaved and 1st leaf in cereals), but without waiting for their mass appearance. The highest effect can be achieved with three applications of the herbicide at the rate of 2 l/ha. The combination of metamitron (Gladiator, 1.2 l/ha) and etofumezat (Arena, 0.6-0.8 l/ha) will allow to increase the level of effectiveness and expand the spectrum of action of the drug, in particular, it will strengthen the control of such weeds as tenacious passionflower, blue cornflower, hard mustard, and the most harmful annual cereals - chicken millet, gray briar, green briar and others.
The drug is characterized by high selectivity when applied to beet crops. Only under unfavorable conditions (frost, heat, pests) with post-emergence application, a temporary deterioration in the resistance of sugar beet plants to the herbicide is possible. With intense solar radiation and daytime temperatures above 25°С, the treatment should be postponed to cooler evening hours or in the morning. The herbicide is prohibited from being used on acidic soils with pH <5.
Gladiator can be applied in mixtures with other herbicides. It is not recommended to addinsecticides and liquid fertilizersfertilizers.

The rate of consumption of working fluid is 200-300 l/ha.
