Mechanism of action. Carboxin is a substance of systemic action, penetrates into the seeds and partially into the plant, actively destroys the causative agents of head diseases, root and stem rots. Thiram is a contact substance that destroys and controls external infection, namely seedling rot and various types of mold.

Recommendations for use:
To achieve the maximum efficiency of seed processing, the material must be cleaned and calibrated, since the presence of impurities (dust, plant residues, damaged seeds, etc.) can significantly reduce the effectiveness of the drug.
To ensure the maximum effectiveness of the action of the contact component of the Viking® preparation, seed treatment should be carried out in advance - 7-14 days before sowing for the maximum destruction of the infection on the surface of the seeds.
The moisture content of the treated seeds should be 1% below the standard for conditioned seeds in order to avoid an increase in humidity as a result of pickling, which, in turn, can lead to a decrease in germination due to an increase in storage temperature (self-heating).

Preparation of working solution. Before use, the drug must be thoroughly mixed in the canister. For seed processing, a working solution is used, which is prepared by dissolving 2.5–3.0 liters of the drug in 7.5–7.0 liters of water, respectively. When the etching machine stops, it is not recommended to leave the working solution for a long time without stirring. To ensure uniform coverage of the seeds with a film of the working solution during the pickling process, the amount of seed material that passes through the pickling machine and the amount of the working solution that is fed into the pickling chamber should be carefully controlled.
