Pharmacological properties:

Propoxur acts on ectoparasites as a contact poison, causing a toxic accumulation of the neurohormone acetylcholine on cholinergic nerve endings, resulting in the death of ectoparasites (red ticks, scabies mites, mealybugs, fleas, lice, etc.).
Clinical features:
Animal type: Not directly applicable.
Indications for use: The drug is used for disinsection of livestock and poultry premises against ticks and other ectoparasites.
Side effect: Not detected.
Special precautions for use: Do not use in the presence of animals and birds. Do not process equipment used for feeding birds and animals (
feeders, troughs,
drinkers, etc.).

Doses and methods of administration to animals of different ages: Aqueous solutions of the drug are used for disinfestation.
Livestock and poultry premises should be treated with 0.5% - 1% INTERMITOKS® solution, depending on the degree of parasite contamination. It is important that the solution gets into all the cracks. If necessary, the procedure is repeated after 7 days to avoid repeated laying of new eggs by ticks.
INTERMITOKS® + water = ready-to-use solution
50 ml per 10 l = 0.5%.
100 ml per 10 l = 1%.
10 liters of the finished solution is enough to treat 100 mg of the room.
Overdose: Not relevant.

Grace period: Does not apply.
Special precautions for persons and service personnel: Persons under the age of 18 are not allowed to work with the product. Disinfection works are carried out in compliance with measures for the protection of respiratory organs, skin and eyes (special clothing, universal respirator, protective glasses, rubber gloves). Preparation of working solutions should be carried out in well-ventilated rooms. In case of accidental contact with the drug on the skin, the affected area should be thoroughly washed with running water.
