Luna® Experience
A new fungicide of combined systemic action.
Active ingredient:
fluopiram - 200 g/l, tebuconazole - 200 g/l
Preparative form:
suspension concentrate
Mechanism of action:
Fluopiram disrupts the respiration process in the mitochondria of the pathogen's cells by blocking succinate dehydrogenase in the 2nd complex of the respiratory chain in the mitochondria.
Tebuconazole disrupts sterol synthesis in pathogen cells by blocking C-14 alpha-demethylase.
Properties:
Luna® Experience is a drug that contains an innovative active substance. Fluopyram belongs to a new chemical class of pyridylethylamides and has an extremely broad spectrum of activity. It is highly effective against a huge number of higher fungi from the taxa of Ascomycetes and Deuteromycetes. Like substances of some other classes, Fluopiram blocks the enzymatic chain in the mitochondria of the pathogen, which is responsible for the process of respiration and the formation of ATP, the main bioenergy source of cells. In this chain, 4 enzyme complexes are involved, and the 2nd of them is subject to destruction by Fluopyram. Since the rest of the drugs that block the breathing process interfere with it at other stages, there is currently no resistance to Fluopiram.
Fluopyram is able to accumulate in the upper layer of plant cells, and then move deep, reach the xylem vessels and move along them. If it gets on the ground, it also shows a high root system.
In order to prevent the emergence of resistance of pathogens in the future, as well as to extend the spectrum of action, Tebuconazole is added to Fluopiram in Luna® Experience. Tebuconazole affects a completely different stage of the metabolism of the fungus, that is, the synthesis of ergosterol for the cell membrane. This made the emergence of resistance unlikely, and also strengthened the effect against leaf spots and some other diseases.
Since tebuconazole is also a systemic substance, Luna® Experience is considered a drug of combined total systemicity. This gives reason to classify it as a drug with a therapeutic effect, although any treatment with fungicides is better to be done prophylactically, before the onset of mass development of diseases.
Today, Luna® Experience surpasses all existing drugs on the market, which are used against higher fungi on vegetable crops - both in terms of the spectrum of action and in terms of effectiveness.
From an ecological point of view, Luna® Experience is safe for beneficial organisms, in particular for bees - it does not affect the viability of adults and larvae, as well as the activity of foraging and pollination.
